Some of the Tech colleges along the Wasatch Front have created an initiative to design, develop, and promote pre-employment training opportunities. There is an outdated reputation about advanced manufacturing as it is still considered as a dark and dangerous industry. At the same time, this said industry is in high demand to recruit people in the fields of aerospace manufacturing, machining, rail technicians and injection molding technicians and operators.
